There have been some changes in the law regarding ADA (American Disabilities Act) primarily re-garding service dogs. More to come on that. Tenants with disabilities are now a protected class and even if you don’t want animals—it may no longer be a choice. You have already been notified about what SMART will be doing with security deposits—this info was sent about a week ago.
